What the plan covers

Two scheduled visits a year — one before the cooling season, one before the heating season — plus priority scheduling and a discount on any repairs you need in between.

  • Refrigerant charge verified against actual operating conditions, not topped off by feel.
  • Electrical connections tightened — they loosen with every heat and cool cycle.
  • Capacitors and contactor tested under load. A weak capacitor is a cheap part that takes out an expensive compressor.
  • Defrost cycle, sensors and reversing valve confirmed on heat pumps, in both directions.
  • Strip heat amperage measured and staging checked, so they are not all firing at once.
  • Coils inspected and cleaned as needed, indoor and out.
  • Blower wheel and airflow checked, static pressure read.
  • Condensate drain cleared and the safety switch tested — this is the one that prevents ceiling damage.
  • Thermostat configuration and staging reviewed, including aux lockout settings.
  • A written summary of what we found and anything that is heading toward failure.

Why it pays for itself

  1. Failures get caught early. Most of what strands people is a part that was measurably weak months before it quit.
  2. Efficiency holds. A slipping refrigerant charge or a dirty coil costs you money every single cycle, silently.
  3. Equipment lasts longer. Maintained systems reach the top of their expected life far more often than neglected ones.
  4. You go to the front of the queue. On the first hard freeze, when everyone calls at once, plan customers get scheduled first.
  5. Warranties stay intact. Most manufacturers require documented annual maintenance, and will ask for it on a claim.

When we schedule you

Cooling visits run in spring, heating visits in the fall, and we contact you rather than waiting for you to remember. Booking the heating tune-up before the first cold snap is the single best scheduling decision a homeowner in this region makes — in late November everyone is calling at once.

What it does not cover

Being straight about this matters. The plan covers inspection, testing, cleaning and adjustment. Parts and repair labour are separate, at a discounted rate. Refrigerant to correct a leak is not maintenance — a system losing charge has a leak that needs finding, and we will tell you that rather than topping it up twice a year and calling it a service.
